We offer a full-spectrum approach to employee engagement: from collecting employee insights through annual surveys to creating great engagement strategies and programmes that create real change.

Communication design is at the heart of this role and, as a Design Director, your day will be filled with pace and variety – no two projects are ever the same.

We’re looking for someone who has a passion for design and communication to lead, develop and deliver outstanding employee communications and innovative engagement programmes that cut through and create meaningful change.

The Design Director will lead on projects from conception through to delivery – working on multiple projects in any given week including shaping creative communications ranging from internal brand solutions and campaign collateral to animation storyboards, employee packs and iPDFs.

This senior role requires heaps of creativity and curiosity, an ability to lead, shape and develop concepts and the confidence to work directly with clients.

This role is a leadership role – where you’ll be expected to support, mentor and manage more junior creatives across a range of disciplines including creative design, copywriting, and motion.

Great people skills are a must. And while confidence and passion is encouraged, design egos must be left at the door.

The usual expert skills in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator are essential as well as good working knowledge of Powerpoint and Word. Digital experience and motion is a bonus, but not essential.

Our studio hub is York-based, but we’ll happy to consider remote working solutions for the right candidate.
