Karian and Box volunteer in Lesvos – An orange a day…
As you will have seen from Rebecca’s blog post yesterday, organising food is vital for refugee welfare.
Aid agencies here on the Greek island of Lesvos are providing basic staples, such as rice and lentils, but fresh fruit is a rarity.
Yesterday morning, I loaded up the car with sacks of oranges to give out to hundreds of hungry children here — at only a few euros per sack, they provide much-needed Vitamin C.
Thank you to everyone who is supporting ‘Karian and Box volunteer in Lesvos’. Your kind donations to our GoFundMe campaign (https://lnkd.in/ehQV-gU) are going directly to provide this kind of essential aid.
